AAC RALLY IN IKORODU, LAGOS.

Omoyele Sowore, Oluwaseun Ajireloja, and Francis Shonubi [Mani Congo] rallies with Nigerians in Lagos!

Omoyele Sowore, the Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Mr. Oluwaseun Ajireloja, the gubernatorial candidate and the Lagos East senatorial candidate of the party, Mr. Francis Shonubi and other party loyalists were present at the rally in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state on Wednesday the 6th of February 2019.

The party through the Presidential candidate reiterated to Nigerians its plans for the spontaneous development of the country if elected into office.

The party was warmly welcomed in Ikorodu by some royalties and their chiefs.
Many Nigerians who have been admirers of the AAC Presidential candidate voluntarily followed the party members all around Ikorodu in excitement.
This event took place less than 48 hours after the party held the most organic mass-filled political campaign in Nigeria since the country became a republic in the year 1963.

As the February 16th 2019 general elections draw near, millions of Nigerians yearn for a genuine change not just of those in government but also for the failed system of governance, especially the Nigerian constitution which harbors a vacuum to protect corrupt government officials and politicians and also restrict citizens from holding corrupt responsible for their ineptitude.

The Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress who have being in the Nigerian political space for about thirty years as an activist and an investigative journalist who has been fighting for democracy and good governance and the eradication of corrupt politicians from our political sphere have been proven by antecedent to  be the only credible candidate worthy to be the next President of Nigeria by June 12th 2019 when the democratically elected President would be sworn into office after the February 16th general elections in less than two weeks from now.

SOWORE IS THE ANSWER TO NIGERIA’S PROBLEMS: VERDICT FROM “THE CANDIDATES” TOWN HALL SESSIONS

The Candidates – the presidential town hall co-production between NTA, Daria Media and the MacArthur foundation, drew to a close last night following Atiku’s appearance with his vice-president, Peter Obi. If it is fair to say that a leader’s true worth shines forth under pressure, then we can state categorically that there was one winner from the series and that was Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress.

Although Buhari and Atiku have artfully dodged a frontal debate with Sowore, The Candidates placed all the candidates on the same platform, with the same interviewer. And for 2 hours, Nigerians had the opportunity to hear the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the four leading political parties in the country talk about their plans and programs for Nigeria, as well as answer questions about their past. The town hall series was revealing. Nigerians have now had an opportunity to weigh their candidates for the highest offices in the land.

Buhari demonstrated a worrying cluelessness about many of the goings on in the country. He frequently had to be prompted by his Vice President, as he failed to hear or comprehend most of the questions asked. Buhari seemed neither mentally present nor interested in Nigeria. The APC has no ideas for how to steer Nigeria away from the crippling problems of insecurity, power sector failures, growing unemployment, farmer-herdsmen conflicts and lack of affordable healthcare access that continues to plague Nigeria. One could almost be moved to sympathy for Buhari after his catatonic performance, if it weren’t for the vicious wickedness that is the intention of foisting a second term that would extend and double our misery, on Nigerians.

Kingsley Moghalu and his running mate demonstrated that their ideas were as dated as those of the establishment they seek to replace. There were no bold plans to create jobs or to light up NIGERIA. There were no clear policy positions on how to address the challenges of insecurity and corruption. The town hall session also revealed the glaring lack of preparation of his vice presidential candidate. Suffice to say that his policies and heavy reliance on his previous stint as the deputy governor – a position that makes him complicit and responsible for a lot of the financial rot that Nigeria faces today – reveal him as being part and parcel of the establishment.

Atiku and Obi proved yesterday, that all of our fears that electing the PDP would simply replace one layer of corruption with another more complex and pernicious one, were true. Atiku could not satisfactorily explain his part ownership of a company that did extensive business with the Ports Authority when he was still in the Nigerian Customs service. He could not explain the money laundering indictments and allegations made by the US Senate Homeland Security Committee. Peter Obi squirmed and faltered as he attempted to convince Nigerians that he was doing Anambra state a favour when he invested billions of the state’s money in a venture in which his family’s NEXT International Nigeria, was a major shareholder. It is now clear that Atiku and Peter Obi complement themselves well. They are two vultures with the same corrupt feathers. They had no clear plans for any of Nigeria’s most pressing issues. They were clear on one point though – they were willing to offer amnesty to all corrupt persons.

We are thankful that despite the attempts to prevent Nigerians from seeing and contrasting Sowore with Buhari, Atiku and others on the national stage, the NTA – Daria Media Town Hall series provided objective points of contrast. Sowore demonstrated a masterful grasp of Nigeria’s issues. He showed amazing clarity in his vision for the country. Nigerians were able to learn first-hand that Sowore has been involved in the fight to move Nigeria forward for 30 years. Nigerians saw the courage of his plans and the strength of his conviction. Nigerians were reminded that he is the only candidate that committed to increasing power by 17,000 MW, doubling Nigeria’s road network from 200,000 km to 400,000 km, boosting our rail system from 3,700 km to 8,000 km, creating 5 million new jobs, paying workers a living wage of 100,000 Naira and creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

Nigerians also got to see that in Dr Rabiu Rufai, Sowore has a running mate who equally understands Nigeria’s challenges and has the intellect, integrity and political will to be a strong partner in the task of positively transforming Nigeria.

Nigerians now know what their options are. We have seen all of those offering themselves for the leadership of our nation. The choice is clear. There is only one team that can move Nigeria forward, and that is the Sowore-Rufai team of the African Action Congress!

I am happily married and blessed with 2 awesome kids.I come from a very rich community and I reside in an Oil City (Ugborodo community & Warri City), it might interest you to know that the community where I come from is hosting one of the biggest multinational company in Nigeria (Chevron Nigeria Limited), also my community witness the WORLD’S SECOND LARGEST GAS-TO-LIQUIDS PROJECT (ESCRAVOS GAS TO LIQUID PROJECT EGTL). To my greatest surprise, It beat my imagination that despite all this resources my community /constituency is sitting upon, the people living in this environment are living in total poverty and we have people representatives at the Federal level down to the community level, I keep asking questions but no one seems to give me a favorable response, I decided to take the bull by the horn to contest in this forthcoming 2019 General Elections for the position of House Of Representatives to represent the people of Warri Federal Constituency and We came up with a theme tagged; CRY 4 FREEDOM CAMPAIGN ORGANISATION I know the journey to attain such position will be expensive and I need funds to achieve my purpose. The purpose of raising this money are as follows: – Printing of campaign shirts – branding of cars – billboards – flag off/rallies – door to door campaign – printing of fliers To mention but a few. Olusola Adekunle Akapo LAGOS ALIMOSHO

I’ve 6 years of international experience while working for Municipal and State government. My passion to serve the public and to make laws that would benefit every Nigerian who been disenfranchised by oppressive and corrupt government. These are part of the reasons why am soliciting for votes from the electorate l plan to represent in my Constituency.Having had 15 years of engineering experience in my working carrier will enable me to perform oversight functions on committee(s) in my capacity.

Ade-Adedeji Adeyera LAGOS:IKEJA

Having worked as a Legislative Aide at the National Assembly and with a working knowledge of legislative doctrines and policies, I consider myself eminently qualified to be a Lawmaker. Most of all the old guards we seek to dislodge have seen Public office as a place to corruptly enrich themselves. That’s why a Lawmaker can earn so much and not sponsor a single bill in his years in office. However, all that’s about to change because we’re out to rewrite the history of governance and policies through qualitative and truly people-driven representation.

Ishola Olatunde Abraham LAGOS: SHOMOLU

I considered myself as the people of Zone 7, the knowledgeable disenfranchised Nigerian. I have live more than 13 years in a country that have one of the world best constitution and societal system of government. With my direct experience of modern society. I want to represent my people in creating a better society for all.

Muyiwa Solomon Odewole OGUN STATE: ADO-ODO/OTA

#TakeItBack from looters. Nigeria is at the verge of anarchy, nothing is working. Good and accountable governance would build the masses confidence and reduce the level of corruption and poverty to minimum ravaging the country.

Taiwo ibironke

I consider my candidacy a call to liberate and fight for a dividend of democracy denied to the people of my constituency. I am in this race to win and nothing else. I process the ability with experience to deploy strategic strategies using the knowledge of the constituency I know very well growing up as a child. At the moment, the main political parties PDP and APC are far from winning as both have disappointed the citizens in the past and people are wiser now. Our party AAC in the grass root of my constituency stands an advantage for voting power.

The Village of Dreams

Beyond the fact that the video below shows how an ordinary life is transformed into the extraordinary, and the power of dreams in spite of the odds, it also offers optics into the  visceral part of Omoyele Sowore’s humanity.

The video connects all of us to the human side of the enigma that is behind those years of fight against corruption, fight for democracy and fight for social justice. The video is a call to that rare place of extra-ordinariness that we all can identify with. It says you, right there, at the state that you are, can aspire to your dreams, that the stars belong to you too and nothing hegemonic or nepotistic can truncate the trajectory of your will.

What the video says, most importantly, although not directly, is that a vote for Omoyele Sowore is a vote for yourself. It validates your place in your country as an equal and a possible story. It helps strengthen the story, take it to a higher place where Nigerians everywhere can look at themselves or their dreaming children and say, ‘You too can be the president’. Let’s make this happen together. Let’s say yes to this story.

Glints of Hope as Hurricane Sowore Storms Adamawa.

Nigerians are tired of the present crop of political leaders – party faithful.

With fervor and strong faith in the Nigeria project, Omoyele Sowore continue to travel to all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. He storms Yola yesterday, 16th of January, 2019, with the AAC and Take It Back campaign team.

At Burunji, Jimeta, Sowore submits, it is the people who are working that are suffering in this country and that must change. Sensitizing the people, Sowore speaking further says, I know that every time politicians come here to get your votes and after that they run away … but we will never forget you.

At one of the events, a party faithful speaks passionately about the political inspiration Omoyele Sowore has become and how it has compelled rare devotions, including the donation of a car for campaign by Mr Robert. Speaking passionately, he says;

This is engineer Robert, when he watched omoyele sowore video clip, he joined us in the struggle and he donated his car. He gave his car for use for the campaign. We have branded it. We are taking it out of town. We are taking it round the city of Yola, we taking it to LG to do campaign.

As a matter of fact, something happened yesterday, we are all surprised; while this engineer drove this car around Mubi roundabout, Most of you may not which location is Mubi roundabout but Mr Omoyele Sowore knows that place quite okay because he did his  NYSC service here in Adamawa State… the youth gathered, they converged around him and they started shouting this is our party, this is our candidate, we are going to vote him, we are tired of PDP, we are tired of APC… this is the first time we are seeing a car like this and we like what is happening. I am telling you, Nigerians are tired. We are tired. Youths are tired. And we are out. We are coming out. In full force. In full measure. Resources is not going to hamper us. Determination is all we need to succeed.

The speaker speaks of the strategy employed for their local campaign;

we are sensitizing the people and we are getting attention of people to vote Omoyele Sowore. That is what we do. All of their emphasis is on rigging. Do we have the cabals around us that would help us rigged elections and grant us victory? I say see, rigging is not going to work in 2019 elections. Whoever rig election is out of the game because we will not tolerate that anymore. We will go every length to stop any illegal move as far as the elections is concern.

#SIDEwithSowore and let your efforts be seen

#SIDEwithSowore – what a wonderful example of giving this is! When you want to help your country, you do whatever you can, whatever it takes. Nigerians, we see you all. All of you branding vehicles, printing posters, talking to your neighbours, educating the opposition online, burning data to watch Facebook Live events, we see every single one of you, and we say thank you. We will win this because Nigerians deserve this. #AAC #AfricanActionCongress #Sowore2019

Take It Back!!!

The 1999 Nigerian Constitution Is A Fraudulent Document Created By The Military!

Those Who Deserve Housing Are The Nigerian People, Not cockroaches and Lizards! ~ Omoyele Sowore

On the State of Housing Market in Nigeria, at the University of Lagos.

We would increase the minimum wage of an average Nigerian worker to One Hundred Thousand Naira, so that an average Nigerian worker could afford a loan of Two Million Naira in order to own a house. The Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has condemned the prevalent state of uninhabited houses overtaken by cockroaches and lizards while Nigeria suffers from a deficit of 17 million homes for it’s homeless population.

He made the rebuke while speaking at a Town hall meeting on Housing for Presidential candidates organized by the University of Lagos on Saturday, 12th of January, 2019.

Speaking at the event on the question as to if he will privatize government or public houses currently not in use, Sowore said:

“We will not give anymore of our public properties to private individuals. What we’re going to do is to take inventory of all the uninhabited public properties in Nigeria.

The ones that can be converted into hospitals will be converted into hospitals, the ones that can be converted into houses will be converted to houses and be given to workers, our federal workers.

“We would convert the federal government secretariat in Lagos  state to a public hospital. He added”

Blaming the housing crisis in Nigeria on failed leadership, he said:The federal government of Nigeria is a wasteful government. If we do not reclaim this properties for the Nigerian people, it will end up in the hands of our ministers, governors, senators and other political leaders and thieves. The Nigerian property should be used by the Nigerian people and this is what we would do when elected”.Drawing parallels with Asian countries who rose from being third world countries to competing with European countries and the US and have overcome the housing problem, Sowore said:

“China planned ahead and built houses to the extent that they now have ghost apartments, Japan did it and so did Singapore and others.”

“So, do not vote in leaders who took off the roof over your heads, because they have no intention to build you houses for shelter” ~ the AAC Presidential candidate admonished.

“The chapter 2 of the 1999 Nigerian constitution suffers a major defect, because that particular chapter is ‘not justiciable’ in the court of law .”

“You cannot go to court to sue the Nigerian government for not having a home, that was why i said the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a fraudulent document which was created by the military and imposed on us the Nigerian people.”~ Sowore quipped.

“The rich, the 1% of our population already have too much houses, so we are going to make sure that we take those houses with no one living in them from the owners.”
“Government must invest in shelter, and make sure that every Nigerian citizen must be entitled a place to lay his head at night, a home. We have to make this investment, and what we have proposed is that our government would invest $3.6 billion into housing, and i mean it, we would soon turn this country into a construction site.”
“What we need to do is to make housing a right for our people living in the country.”“Every Nigerian family must have a home, over 80 million Nigerians are homeless, we would make sure that every family has a home, a father, a mother and at least 3 children.”The town hall meeting which was organised by the University of Lagos, on the state of the Nigerian Housing Market had four other political parties and their Presidential candidates apart from Mr. Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress, which includes Mrs. Obiageli Ezekwesili of ACPN, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu of YPP, Mr. Fela Durotoye of ANN, and Mr. Isaac Ositelu of AP.The event was well attended by a wide spectrum of people, students, rights activists, lecturers, public servants and government functionaries, businessmen, researchers and distinguish press persons.LIVE: Omoyele Sowore at the University of Lagos Housing Town Hall Meeting for Presidential Candidate

Omoyele Sowore On NTA Abuja

“This is my first time on NTA since we started 9 months ago, and I am a citizen of Nigeria” – Sowore, on NTA, Abuja

Elections are in about 35 days and AAC cum #TACKITBACK continue to expand national discourse with potent and achievable solutions. On Wednesday, 8th January, 2019, was an electrifying engagement with Omoyele Sowore and his deputy, Dr Rabiu Rufai, on NTA, Abuja. In the interview that lasted for just about 34 mins, Sowore and Rufai expound on ranges of solutions stemming from the campaign promises – SPICER-HEAT.

Sowore boldly spoke about energy mix to generate up to 24000 megawatt and the need to take 13 million kids out of the street. In speaking about herdsmen issue, he spoke about establishing ranches and the opportunity to harness cow dung from up to 20 million cows for bio-gas and electricity.

Speaking further, he said we can sufficiently pay for the manifesto by managing our resources properly and attracting investors who will not come and invest in short term investment and take away their profit whenever the market crashes.

When asked about housing and other AAC manifesto’s deliverables, Sowore responded, our population is not exploding to the extent we cannot cater for the needs of our people. He further said, our politicians like to compare us with China but in China they have ghost houses – houses built in excess of an exploding population. Expounding on agriculture, Sowore asserts that with technology, Nigeria can become Africa food basket.  He spoke about postharvest losses and also said we cannot continue to practice agriculture the same way we are currently practicing agriculture.

“We travelled from Yola to Jalingo. It took about 4 hrs. We found that farmers along the road are still using donkeys and horses to drive their plow. Along the same road we counted nothing less than 50 SUVs own by government officials”, said Sowore.

During the nuanced conversation, Sowore alluded to the skewed media practice that invites more of the thieving politicians for media interaction. He said these politicians don’t even come for the media interactions with the people they lead or desire to lead. They would rather send proxies.

Sowore also advocated for improved political engagements that can change the leadership of Nigeria such that the people that are currently suffering can see a great life before they leave this earth.

OMOYELE SOWORE, NEDG AND BON IN COURT ON PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.

THE EXCLUSION OF AAC FROM THE 2019 PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.

John Momoh, the chairman of BON, has been knocked off as a hiccup factor in the court proceeding to determine the inclusion of African Action Congress and Omoyele Sowore in the upcoming presidential debate.

In a press release after the court session today, January 8, 2019, the legal adviser of African Action Congress, Inibehe Effiong, has stated that there is no reason to worry and that the party has achieved a remarkable feat with the urgency with which the court has treated the case. This is owned to the fact that the case in question has limited timeline. He is currently tasked to follow up on the reassignment of the case by the Chief Judge, Abuja.

Prequel to the court proceeding, Nigerians and some other candidates have provoked shifting responses from the debate organizers, and yet, we are to be included for the upcoming debate. Different polls results, including the online polls by NEDG and BON, placed AAC at one of the top three positions. This established the growing interest of Nigerians for an alternative voice and a basis to consider the AAC exclusion from the debate as malicious and/or an attempt to stifle robust political engagement in Nigeria.

We are hopeful to get justice before the date of the debate which is January 19, 2019. We also hope that the judiciary ceased this opportunity to set an important precedent to strengthen democracy.
