Buhari’s APC Government Arrests Sowore Supporters for Pasting Posters
FIVE members of the African Action Congress party were arrested during the early hours today, Sunday, 9th December for pasting posters in Lagos State and are still being held in custody.
After discussing with police responsible for this arrest for the last 9 hours, concerned members anxious for their release have been advised that the orders are directly from the Police Commissioner.
The five supporters arrested were not violating any laws. Pasting of posters and creating awareness for the only alternative to the rot that has decimated our nation is not and has never been a crime in Nigeria, and this recent act of injustice suffered by the Take It Back Movement, the AAC and the presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, is further proof that the APC party is not interested in a free, fair election or in doing what is best for Nigerians.
Every step of the AAC party’s campaign has been dogged with impediments and outright blocks from the ruling party. From cancelled TV interviews to the withdrawal of rally permits in the northern part of Nigeria, the Buhari-led government has launched a vendetta campaign against the one party resolved in bettering the lives of Nigerians.
There are no guesses as to why the APC has taken offence against the AAC. While unwilling to pay hardworking Nigerians N30,000 a month for work done as minimum wage, the African Action Congress promises a living wage of N100,000 per month. While the incumbent government looks the other way while Nigerians are killed in their droves by terrorists, the AAC promises prosecution and tougher security measures to guarantee the safety and protection of Nigerians.
While the APC wakes from its slumber and cluelessness after 3 years of governance to offer Nigerians bread and N10,000 in exchange for their souls, the AAC not only promises to work from day one, but also shows exactly how it plans to execute these tasks and where the funding will come from.
Certainly, it is clear that the APC have no intention of leading Nigeria with incorruption, integrity or probity but we will continue to fight because Nigerians deserve better than the dire hand they’ve been dealt.
Nigeria MUST progress, and we will uphold the struggle until she does.

Sowore’s AAC Welcomes VP and Presidential Debates, Insists Nigerians Must Know Who They’re Voting For
Nigerian Election Debate Group and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria on Thursday, 22nd November, have announced schedules for the 2019 presidential election debates. It is encouraging that these two bodies have lent their support to a move that should be made mandatory if Nigerians are to fully understand who and what they’re voting for.
The Take it Back Movement, headed by Omoyele Sowore, has been clear in its assertion that the only way Nigeria can progress is for presidential candidates to not only outline their vision for Nigeria, but also share their process on how these visions will become reality. We have continued to demand these debates as we believe that Nigerians are intelligent and intuitive enough to discern between realistic blueprints for progress and half-baked ideas that will only dig the nation deeper in debt and deprivation.
Incumbent president Buhari did not attend the debates at the last elections, a move that should have been a signal that the then candidate had no strategy or plan with which to salvage Nigeria from the ever-deepening mess in which she finds herself.
Today, as leaders of the most populous black nation for the last three years, the APC is yet to establish or execute a plan for the future of Nigeria, preferring instead to denigrate her hardworking citizens in the presence of international world leaders and blame failures on past governments or factors outside of their control.
The vice-presidential debate has been slated for December 14, 2018, while presidential debate is expected to hold on January 19, 2019 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The organisers say the debates will focus on economy, electricity supply, job creation, health, security, amongst others – a clear sign that the African Action Congress Party is in touch with the needs of the masses as this covers five of the 10 points in our Agenda for Transformation, SPICER HEAT (Security, Power, infrastructure, Corruption, Economy and Job Creation, Restructuring, Health, Education, Agriculture and Tourism and Culture).
We are now in a digital age and Nigerian politicians must hand over ideas and not bags of rice. Leaders must be accountable to those who elect them and must be prepared to have their ideas critiqued and held up for better understanding and improvement. Nigeria MUST progress and our leaders must be the right candidates to make that happen.

TakeItBack Movement’s Pressure Successful as INEC Extends Voter Registration by Two Weeks
It is with great pleasure that the Take it Back Movement can announce that, thanks to pressure placed on INEC Nigeria at their Abuja office on the 8th of August, the deadline for the Continuous Voters’ Registration, formerly 17th August, has now been lifted. Nigerians will now be allowed to continue to register to vote in the upcoming presidential elections until the 31st of August – the deadline being shifted by two more weeks.
If anyone was still in doubt as to the power held by youth prepared to fight for their future, this landmark turnaround by INEC should be enough to clear those doubts. The standpoint of the Take it Back Movement has never wavered: wherever the rights of Nigerians are being impeded or thwarted, we will fight, using the proper channels, to ensure liberation and justice.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, for giving us the opportunity to discuss this issue that has proven challenging to many Nigerians, and for yielding to a decision that cements Nigeria’s democracy.
The battle is only half won, however. We urge all Nigerians to avail themselves of this opportunity to make a difference on the 16th February, 2019. There is a real opportunity to create the Nigeria we dream of; a Nigeria that works for all Nigerians, not just the elite few. For the first time, there are real options in this race, and we appeal to every eligible citizen to take advantage of this new hope.
